Terms of Service

1) Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using IslandLedger (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2) What we provide

IslandLedger provides software tools to help you enter financial data and generate consolidated financial statement reports. Self-service exports are generated from the information you provide.

3) Optional accountant review (not an audit)

If you select the optional certified accountant review, the reviewer will perform a review engagement focused on consistency, completeness, and presentation based on the information you provide. This is not an audit, and does not guarantee acceptance by any bank, regulator, or third party.

4) Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all information you input and upload.
  • You must use the Services in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • You must keep your login credentials secure and notify us of unauthorized access.
  • You are responsible for reviewing outputs before using or submitting them to third parties.

5) Fees, payments, and NO REFUNDS

You may start building reports for free. Fees apply when you purchase a finalized export and/or optional accountant review. All purchases are final and non-refundable.

Without limiting the above, we do not provide refunds for: exports generated from your inputs, dissatisfaction with formatting or bank acceptance, unused services, accidental purchases, or delays caused by missing/incorrect information you provided.

6) Intellectual property

The Services, including software, designs, and content, are owned by IslandLedger and its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your inputs. You grant us a limited license to process your inputs solely to provide the Services (including generating previews/exports and facilitating optional review).

7) Prohibited use

  • Reverse engineering, scraping, or attempting to disrupt or bypass security.
  • Using the Services to submit false, misleading, or unlawful information.
  • Interfering with other users or the availability of the Services.

8) Service availability & changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9) NO RESPONSIBILITY / DISCLAIMER

THE SERVICES AND ALL OUTPUTS (INCLUDING REPORTS, PDF EXPORTS, AND OPTIONAL REVIEW PAGES) ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ISLANDLEDGER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR (A) YOUR DATA INPUTS, (B) ANY DECISIONS MADE BY BANKS OR THIRD PARTIES, (C) REJECTION OF REPORTS, (D) LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, OR (E) ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES.

10) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IslandLedger’s total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to IslandLedger for the specific report or service giving rise to the claim during the three (3) months preceding the event.

11) Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IslandLedger and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and reviewers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Services, your inputs, or your violation of these Terms.

12) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or used the Services unlawfully. You may stop using the Services at any time.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where IslandLedger is organized/operated, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

14) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date.
